Tell us about your devotion to fashion and fitness?

Being a model, staying fit is part of my job, but it has turned into a passion.  I work out six days a week. I do yoga, Muay Thai, boxing, volleyball, dance class, and general workout. I love diversity and I’m never afraid of trying something new. The most important thing I want to show my followers is eating healthy and working out is so good for you, physically, but just as important, mentally.

Share your fitness tips for travel?

Yoga is excellent for a complete body workout and it’s great for the soul too. There are great online classes like Alo Moves by Alo Yoga you can do from home or your hotel room. A great run or walk can also do wonders especially if there’s some beautiful nature around.

Where in Brazil is closest to your heart?

I’m from the state of Bahia, so I’m crazy about the northeast of Brazil especially Trancoso, but there are so many amazing places; Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina, Fernando de Noronha, the incredible Amazon rainforest.

Favorite travel destination?

Turks & Caicos, it’s magical and peaceful, I usually stay at the Amanyara. If I could beam myself somewhere in the world I haven’t been, I’d hit the Maldives. I am a beach girl, but I also love to be on a farm eating the fruit from the trees and organically grown vegetables.

What does your beauty regime look like?

Eating clean is the best remedy for your skin. I eat lots of fresh vegetables and fish and always stay hydrated. I also go to Spa Zuzu in Chelsea, New York twice a month. Zuzu Becker is a Brazilian beauty guru who is so good with her hands, she has all these amazing treatments for the face and body including a sauna.

Signature fashion style?

As a model, I am inspired by so many brands and creative people.  Personally, I love to mix things up in an unexpected way depending on my mood and where I am going, like sneakers with dresses or boots with cut-off shorts. The best is when you have an old pair of jeans that are almost falling apart and you cut the legs off to extend their life, like I did with an old pair of Levi’s. My mantra is, always add a touch of elegance. I like Brazilian label Farm Rio, they have a store in Soho now and their colors and prints are incredible. Accessory wise, my necklace, a tiny gold cross with diamonds on a thin gold chain is my most treasured possession, I carry everywhere.

What’s on your reading/playlist?

I’m reading Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. I listen to a lot of different music; R&B, rock, pop, romantic. When I work I choose music in the theme of the job to inspire me. On a Sunday morning, I’ll be listening to Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Mozart, or some Seu Jorge, a Brazilian artist whose style is pop samba.

Name your NYC hotspots?

I’m not much of a drinker, but I love Berimbau Brazilian Kitchen, the Rose Bar at Gramercy Park Hotel in NYC is pretty cool and sometimes you can catch some great jazz. There are so many great restaurants in New York, but if I had to say my favorite it’s Milos NYC, they have the best fish.

You are a passionate advocate for change, what charities do you support?

I am passionate about spreading the message of health and wellness and helping others.  I’m an ambassador for Love Together Brasil, whose mission is to bring clean water to Sertao in northeast Brazil. Larger Than Life USA, which supports children with cancer, and Dara Institute, a charity devoted to the health and development of impoverished children in Brazil.  Right now, I am helping raise awareness and funds so we can build a sports complex for the kids.
