THE VIBE:  Koreatown, Los Angeles – one of the most happening places on the West Coast. Known for its mix of Korean, Latino and American culture, this area is now slowly but surely becoming a hotspot for trendy hotels. In the center of it all is The LINE Hotel.

THE SLEEP: Architect Sean Knibb designed exquisite rooms that weave together handmade furnishings from his Venice Beach studio with a touch of local flair. Each room features modern interiors with sunny floor-to-ceiling windows that provide sweeping views of the neighborhood. Our favorite room at the hotel is the Hollywood Hills View apartment suite which is the epitome of luxury with 1200 square-feet of entertainment space and a California king bedroom.

TRY IT ON:

THE TASTE: Fully embracing its LA location, The LINE is home to the local-favorite, Alfred Coffee. Start and end your stay calm, cool and caffeinated.

The LINE has recently been through a F&B overhaul. The Sydell Group has partnered with Michelin starred chef & native Angeleno Josiah Citrin to bring Openaire to Korea Town. A true hipster delight, this welcoming greenhouse restaurant highlights the best of California’s flavors from both land and sea. Showcasing seasonal produce in a shareable format, Openaire is bringing new meaning to “family style.”

Kick your night off with a drink from Lobby Bar. Pack your dancing shoes and prepare to get nostalgic at Break Room 86, where LA-based brothers, Mark and Jonnie Houston created an 80’s-themed space with live performances, guest Deejays, a fabulous dance floor and karaoke suites. The specialty cocktails like the Moonwaker, Magnum P.I., Rum-DMC and Livin’ On a Prayer bring the 80’s back to life through custom mixology. They even offer boozy push-pops for the suppressed teen wearing legwarmers inside us all.

THE WOW: The Speek Suite, available for lodging or event use, was designed by the Houston brothers, whose inspiration was an ode to the Koreatown home they grew up in. The 60’s/70’s themed space is super retro with Malm-style fireplaces, ceiling-high Curio cabinets, vintage textures and wallpaper. The space has a sitting area and separate bedroom plus a full-service mini bar perfect for entertaining. The room also comes with a curated vinyl collection, in room karaoke, turntables and VIP bottle service. The meticulous design features evoke nostalgia and give this special accommodation the wow factor.
