Hotel Highlights: A grand old dame on New York’s chic Upper East Side overlooking Central Park, The Pierre opened its doors in 1930 and became the hotel du jour to fashion’s elite – names like Coco Chanel, Audrey Hepburn, and Yves Saint Laurent have all passed through its iconic doors. Part of the luxury Taj Hotels, The Pierre and each of its elegant suites honor the brand’s Indian heritage via the soft neutral and jewel-toned palette, handwoven carpets, and South Asian artworks curated by a Mumbai gallerist. Though our highlights are the marbled bathrooms with deep tub and rain head showers. @thepierreny
Eat + Drink: Farm-to-table dining in an opulent setting awaits at Perrine where ingredients come sourced from sustainable, local farms in the Tri-State Area. In the warmer months, enjoy lunch (try the seared tuna salad) outside with sweeping views of Central Park as you taste the flavors of the Seared Tuna Salad. At the hotel’s fine dining French-inspired restaurant Rotunda marvel at the pastel-colored frescos that line the walls and ceilings, painted by Edward Melcarth in 1967. Take Afternoon Tea at the Two E Bar & Lounge, where you’ll enjoy Palais des Thés loose-leaf teas, miniature lobster rolls, and classic English cucumber with dill cream cheese. We recommend diving into The Pierre Blend, a custom made black tea spiced with green cardamom, pink peppercorns, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, and orange zest.
Beauty + Wellness: Spa treatments are available courtesy of the hotel’s Jiva Spa, inspired by India’s ancient wellness rituals. Try a luxurious foot bath in flower petals and soothing oils, followed by a Pehlwan Malish massage or the Tulsi Facial infused with a blend of neem, tulsi, and rose to rehydrate and rejuvenate your skin.
Curated Experience: Skip the line at the Metropolitan Museum of Art thanks to Get Your Guide, who offer a curated guided tour of the best of The Met.
