Standard Textile has been crafting linens at some of our favorite luxury hotels around the world for nearly 80 years. Throughout our travels, we have been lucky enough to sleep in some of the finest hotels in the most spectacular destinations. Some months, we find ourselves sleeping in more hotel beds than our own. Just as we were losing hope in being able to replicate that hotel feeling, Standard Textile launched Standard Textile Home, their collection of bedroom and bath essentials made for the finest hotels, now available for you.

To tell the story of Standard Textile Home, we called on some of our favorite people to give us an intimate look at what it means to be able to bring that hotel feeling home.

Annie Georgia Greenberg is a three-time Webby-nominated Supervising Creative Producer of original video content at digital media powerhouse, Refinery 29, where she’s worked for the past eight years. After developing the brand’s editorial voice as a fashion director, covering international fashion weeks and running the site’s New York channel, Annie shifted gears to work on the site’s growing video team.

As the creator and host of Refinery 29’s 60 Second Cities, where she has filmed all over the world from San Miguel de Allende to Osaka, Annie’s time spent at home is precious. Because she is on the road for more than half of the year, she takes extra care in the way she spends her time in her home.

We sat down with Annie in her airy loft in Brooklyn to learn about her bedtime rituals, favorite ways to unwind, and how she defines being At Home.

How do you define comfort at home?

AGG: “Comfort at home means a well-made bed, coffee in a cozy robe and looking at my own city with the wonder of a new one.”

When it’s time to unwind, how do you bring the spa to you?

AGG: “I spend an extra fifteen minutes in the shower on extra hot. I use an exfoliating body scrub and add a mask or eye treatment to my getting ready routine.”

What products make your home feel like a 5-star hotel?

AGG: “Le Labo room spray, fresh flowers, crisp sheets, fluffy towels and an oversized robe… now, if only someone would make my bed for me and slip the paper under the door!”

What are your bedtime rituals?

AGG: “I never go to bed without taking off my makeup, moisturizing, and setting at least three alarms for the following morning. I also typically sleep with a silk eye mask on and sometimes listen to ambient jungle noises to fall asleep (habits established on overnight flights).  If it’s been an especially good or productive day, I’ll ask my boyfriend to tell me the story of what we did together — like an instant recall bedtime story that we’re the main characters in.”

What makes you hit snooze?

AGG: “A good dream, maximum comfort, and any more than two margaritas the previous night.”

Where are you dreaming of traveling to next?

AGG: “I’m about to embark on a multi-month production for work that will have me traveling to ten cities all around the world, which is something I’ve been dreaming about for quite a while. That said, the realities of work travel and relaxation travel are quite different so the ultimate fantasy would be to take a week off at the tail end somewhere tropical to actually unwind. Seychelles anyone?!”

Stay tuned for the next iteration of At Home with featuring Ashley Stark, Creative Director of Stark Carpet.
