Built to resemble Santorini’s traditional settlements, the materials (willow and volcanic stone), styles, and textures found throughout the property have been used on the island for centuries. The world-famous murals in Akrotiri served as inspiration for the color palette: earthy, terracotta shades, and vibrant warm colors; while the island’s traditional “kouloura” (typical way of knitting the vines), offers a modern interpretation. Artwork abounds, with works by contemporary Greek artists and modern design icons including Doshi & Levien and Konstantin Grcic.
