THE VIBE | Sashay-worthy

Designed by Yabu Pushelberg in a calming, elevated palette, Park Hyatt New York feels like the Upper East Side apartment of your most elegant and design-savvy friend. The property feels gracefully residential and inviting in its understated elegance. Of course, the clientele is of the jet-set and the property offers a glamorous respite in New York City for United Nations delegates.

THE LOOK | Design-worthy

Open for just three years, Park Hyatt New York is a young icon with a whole lot of design street cred. The hotel is located on the first 25 floors of ONE57, a spectacular glass skyscraper designed by world-renowned architect, Christian de Portzamparc.  Added to that, famed interior designers Yabu Pushelberg have created cool sophisticated tones throughout the public spaces and suites.

THE SLEEP | Living the Life-worthy

The hotel’s 210 rooms including 92 suites are some of our favorite in New York.  They are residential chic and comfy, all at the same time.  Lots of space to spread out and settle into.  We especially love the West Side Suite, a corner suite offering sweeping views of the cityscape, complete with floor-to-ceiling windows providing a birds-eye view of midtown and a free-standing soaking tub for maximum relaxation.

The WOW | Splash-worthy

No better way to start the day than a few laps in New York’s most glamorous indoor swimming pool.  All 61 sparkling feet of it perched on the 25th floor of this luxury midtown beauty.  Added motivation comes in the form of underwater music, courtesy of the hotel’s neighbor, Carnegie Hall. Maestro, Bravo!

THE TASTE | Swarm-Worthy

The Swarm Study / XI installation is reason enough to make a reservation at the hotel’s restaurant, Bevy, just be sure to get there early to sit at the bar and be mesmerized by this incredible light art sculpture while you imbibe on a craft cocktail or two.  Of course the real reason Bevy is the new sweetheart of NYC dining is the superb menu from Chef de Cuisine Chad Brauze.  The core of Bevy is its close relationships with local producers, farmers and artisans that enable the culinary talent to create a truly seasonal menu. Dishes are both elegant and rustic, with the new American menu focused on local, seasonal ingredients harmonizing on the plate.

THE FEEL | Spa-worthy

Don’t let the glamour fool you.  Spa Nalai is grounded in the principles of rejuvenation and wellness, with tailored spa treatments to meet a wide variety of needs. In the language of the Lenape people, the original tribe of Manhattan, Nalai means “serenity,” a mood the spa promotes through a unique synthesis of both ancient and innovative healing techniques with advanced beauty rituals to craft a deeply personalized experience.

THE LOCALE | Insider-worthy

Lynne Bredfeldt, Senior Director of Public Relations, Park Hyatt New York | Park Hyatt Chicago is tapped into every city she lives or visits.  She spends much of her time flying between Park Hyatt Hotels in New York and Chicago being the PR hostess with the mostest.  So what does this stylish gal do when not luxuriating in the world of luxury PR? Just some simple things like climbing Kilimanjaro or a volcano in Guatemala to camping in the African desert.  Who better to ask for some inside tips for your next visit to the center of the universe. New York, that is…

6 things to do in a 5 block radius:

Collection-Worthy Art.  An impressive 351 pieces including the anchor to the collection, Random International’s Swarm Study / XI. Other notables include Ellsworth Kelly, Rob Fischer, and Robert Longo, among others, with at least ten pieces curated exclusively for the hotel.

The Onyx Room.  The hotel’s ballroom is a perfect jewel box with its breathtaking back-lit illuminated white onyx walls of soaring heights.

Pet Friendly.  We love our four legged squish faces and the Park Hyatt New York’s pet program, VIP (very important pup) goes all out to spoil our little furry friends when we are on the road.
