Voted Best Hotel in the World & Africa by Condé Nast Traveler

Our Tribe has spoken, one of Travel Curator’s absolute favorite spots has been voted Best Hotel in the World, that’s right the WORLD, by Condé Nast Traveler.  General Manager Pierre Jochem is thrilled to share this news with the world.

“La Mamounia is truly honored to receive this esteemed award and recognition from Conde Nast Traveler and its readers,” said Pierre Jochem. “From the moment guests walk through our doors, the La Mamounia experience stays with them for life. This award would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our incredible hotel team. It’s undeniable that La Mamounia is an icon in Marrakech, but beyond that, to be recognized as the #1 hotel in the world is an achievement we could only dream.”

Nearly half a million Condé Nast Traveler readers submitted a recording-breaking number of responses rating their travel experiences to provide a full snapshot of where and how we travel today.

Said to be “the most lovely spot in the whole world” by Prime Minister Winston Churchill, La Mamounia – originally opened in 1923 – has been a symbol of traditional Moroccan hospitality and a classic example of the great age of grand hotels.

The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry and are commonly known as “the best of the best of travel.”

The 2018 Readers’ Choice Awards are published exclusively on Condé Nast Traveler’s website and celebrated in the November issue on newsstands nationwide on October 16.
