Jillian Dara is a freelance journalist with a decade of experience writing and reporting across a spectrum of lifestyle beats, including travel, culture, cuisine, and spirits. She knew she would pursue journalism after her first day of interning at her hometown’s newspaper, The Royal Gazette, in Bermuda. Upon graduating, Jillian accepted an Associate Editor position in Santiago, Chile, an Editor-in-Chief position in Boston, and a Managing Editor role in New York, before entering the freelance world in 2018. She has a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Emerson College as well as a WSET 2 certification in wine and spirits.
