THE VIBE

Hotel Encanto is located in Acapulco’s Las Brisas neighborhood. In the 1950s, Acapulco was the go-to Mexican getaway. Nicknamed the “Pearl of the Pacific,” it attracted celebrities like Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra, John F. Kennedy and Elvis Presley. The hotel has recently been revamped and offers stylish and modern accommodations perfect for any posh socialite.

Driving up the winding road, guests are greeted by a contemporary mansion with spectacular ocean views. Hotel Encanto is a sleek, adults-only hotel that has minimalist architecture brightened by bold, neon lighting that captures the modernist art vibe.

The 44 guestrooms each have a private terrace and panoramic views of the ocean and bay. Visitors have a choice of staying in either a suite or villa. Each room comes with 500 thread count linens, L’Occitane beauty products, and a fully stocked bar. If looking for more privacy, the villas are separate from the main building and come with large terraces and a private pool.

Origin, the hotel’s restaurant, serves traditional Mexican specialties with imaginative twists created by Mexican celebrity chef Mónica Patiño. The South American cuisine is the perfect compliment to the unparalleled view of the bay

Mar Abierto Spa, the hotel’s well-known wellness center, provides guests with complete relaxation. The couple’s massage is a must-do at the spa, and is either done indoors or outdoors with open sea views. Hotel Encanto also has a top of the line gym and a relaxation area with steam rooms and Jacuzzis.

Pie de la Cuesta, a small beach resort town, is only a short taxi or boat ride from Hotel Encanto. The village is home to many local restaurants and quaint shops. It is the perfect day trip for any couple wanting to take a romantic adventure and embrace the Mexican culture.
