THE LOOK
Cool, sophisticated, and welcoming, COMO Metropolitan London balances the contemporary and the timeless—a rare achievement for a London modern luxury hotel. All 144 rooms and suites have floor-to-ceiling windows with amazing natural light (if you’re lucky enough, you’ll have a view of Hyde Park too). The minimalistic design and modern technology create a haven of calm, perfect for business or leisure travel. Inspired by the natural flora of Hyde Park, Interior Architect firm Forme UK utilized natural hues and textures such as walnut, sycamore, pale and dark timbers throughout the hotel’s redesign.
THE SLEEP
Our favorite picks are the COMO Suite, as it’s the pinnacle of COMO living with sweeping views of Hyde Park, king-size bed draped with Egyptian cotton and a luxe bathtub placed next to an outdoor meditation rock garden. We also love the signature Metropolitan Park Room that is available in double or king room types. Make sure to ask for one with a view of the park to make it extra special.
THE TASTE
COMO Metropolitan London is the home of two classics – Nobu, the award-winning Japanese-Peruvian restaurant (don’t miss the sashimi salad and squid ‘pasta’) and Gridiron by COMO is the new live-fire grill, showcasing a hearty menu of in-season, ethically-sourced ingredients. Meat, native fish and beautiful vegetables are given equal attention, prepared on an open grill to create delicate smoky flavours. You can watch the flames soar in the open-front kitchen, helmed by leading British chef Colin McSherry.
THE FEEL
A highlight of the hotel is the COMO Shambhala Urban Escape. The holistic wellness center at COMO Metropolitan London offers several massages and spa treatments but our go-to is the signature COMO Shambhala Massage. It’s either 75 or 90 minutes of absolute bliss, it’s there’s even a dedicated yoga channel on the in-room TV.
THE WOW
In keeping with the hotel’s wellness emphasis, the property hosts various health and wellness experts throughout the year. From Jake Jacas, Reiki expert to Paul Lennard an ‘Energy Therapist’ and various yoga instructors, the wellness expert program is worth exploring – just ask the team at COMO Shambhala Urban Escape to make an appointment. The hotel also recently launched a ‘Body, Mind and Soul’ package that includes a one or two stay in a Metropolitan Park Room, COMO Shambhala Cuisine breakfast, a 60-minute massage or facial, a 60-minute specialist treatment (i.e. a shiatsu massage or acupuncture session), a 60-minute session with a professional personal trainer or yoga teacher and a copy of the brand’s COMO Shambhala cookbook, The Pleasures of Eating Well.

COMO Shambhala follows a healthy philosophy that is inspired by ancient Buddhism, ‘Shambhala’ refers to sacred place of bliss.
