Fashion Hotels:

Portrait Firenze, Florence by Ferragamo

Italian fashion dynasty, Ferragamo, have successfully established themselves as a luxury fashion and hotel brand with properties that pay homage to Italy’s haute couture heyday of 1950s and ‘60s. Overlooking Arno River, Portrait Firenze, just steps from Florence’s art, history, fashion, and food epicenter is evocative of an upscale townhouse. Designed by Florentine architect Michele Bönan, renowned for her classic yet contemporary signature, with a hint of old-world nostalgia, wooden paneling, exquisite textiles, and evocative design details exude an authentic Dolce Vita style and every piece of the retro-inspired furniture is handcrafted in Florence. The highlight perhaps is the hotel’s walls accented with black and white photography from greats like Locchi, Giorgini, and Alinari.

Armani Hotels Dubai and Milano

Italian fashion house Armani has seamlessly translated its signature sophisticated style into the luxury hotel world.

Armani Hotel Dubai

Located in the world’s tallest tower, Burj Khalifa, the property overlooks the iconic dancing Dubai fountain and as you would expect evokes the brand’s signature elegance. From the muted minimalistic design scheme to the luxurious Eramosa stone floors, zebrawood panels, and custom-made Armani furnishings throughout, every aspect has been curated and designed in line with Mr Armani’s impeccable taste.
Eat + Drink: Start your morning with a cappuccino sprinkled with 24-carat gold flakes in the Armani Lounge.

Armani Hotel Milano

An elegant haven in the heart of Milan, immerse yourself in the minimalist sophistication of Armani.  Rooms come outfitted with furniture and homewares from the signature Armani Casa Collection (there’s also automated iPads for high-tech convenience).  The hotel also has it’s very own Armani-designed outpost of Nobu where you sip the best cocktails in Milan while savoring  stunning views of the Duomo and city.

Bulgari Resort Bali

With six global hotels in its collection (and four more in the pipeline), iconic Italian fine jewelry brand Bulgari is one of the more prominent luxury fashion hotel brands. There’s properties in Milan, London, Dubai, Beijing, Shanghai, but our personal favorite is Bali, which like all Bulgari hotels exudes the opulence and glamour of the heritage brand, but offers a tranquil seaside getaway on the Indian Ocean. The hotel was built using hand-cut volcanic stones and exotic woods and features natural green sukabumi stone in their luxurious plunge pools and outdoor showers.  Fusing high end fashion with authentic local hand-picked furnishings, fabrics, and ceramics adds the perfect Balinese touch.

Hotel Le Bellechasse, Paris by Christian Lacroix

French fashion icon Christian Lacroix curated the design of Paris’ esteemed bohemian Hotel Le Bellechasse on the seven universes of diversity: Patchwork, Avengers, Saint-Germain, Tuileries, Mousquetaires, Jeu de Paume, and Quai d’Orsay. This playful couture hotel stands in the center of the Faubourg Saint-German district steps away from the grand Musée d’Orsay. Known for his signature avant-garde designs, the property’s color palette pays homage to Lacroix’s love of aristocratic elegance. Each room is exquisitely designed to feature bold graphics, large soaking tubs, lush damask curtains, and lavish hues. While art exhibitions are displayed throughout the hotel to represent the creative spirit and style of Parisian life, art, culture, theatre, and design.

Palazzo Versace, Dubai & Gold Coast, Australia

As you’d expect from the Palazzo Versace, both of its properties in Dubai and Australia are reminiscent of the 16th century Versace palace. The moment you step through the front doors you are greeted with Versace’s signature brand of high octane glamour and sex appeal – gold accents, leopard prints and of course the houses iconic Medusa logo. The highlight of the Australian property on Queensland’s Gold Coast is the sandy beach pool and landscaped garden. While in Dubai, it’s all about their onsite restaurant Vanitas where you can indulge in fine Italian cuisine while listening to live Opera accompanied by violin every night.

Tcherassi Hotel and Spa, Colombia

Embodying the eclectic, vibrant style and culture of Latin America, the Tcherassi Hotel and Spa, is designed by celebrated Columbian fashion designer Silvia Tcherassi. An ode to her heritage and style signature, the former mansion’s standouts are the high wooden beam ceilings, tropical-inspired rooms which come complete with tasseled-bedspreads created from the designer’s dress labels and chandeliers crafted from interlocking plastic rings. And let’s not forget that each suite has its own balcony overlooking the lush tropical flora of the hotel’s courtyards.
