Shari Mycek

Travel Curator Senior Editor and award-winning journalist Shari Mycek cut her editorial chops as a health writer recognized for her indepth feature articles on cancer, AIDS, domestic violence, and coverage of the Oklahoma City bombing (which earned her top national honors). After shifting her editorial focus, she transitioned into luxury travel and ultimately (drawing upon her strong healthcare background) niched into spas, wellness, and beauty. For the past 25+ years, Shari has circumnavigated the globe reporting on luxury hotels, top-level spas, and authentic healers and modalities: i.e. sangomas in Africa; ‘megeres” (good witches) in Sardinia. Prior to her work with Travel Curator, Shari’s byline appeared in major national and international publications (including The Robb Report, Conde Nast Traveler and Conde Nast Traveller UK, InStyle, The Miami Herald, Philadelphia Inquirer, msnbc, abc.com, and more). When not on a plane or in a spa, Shari enjoys yoga, being by the sea, whipping up green smoothies, and spending time with her daughter’s golden doodles.
