Dobrina Zhekova

Dobrina Zhekova is a travel and lifestyle journalist with an editorial career spanning over a decade. Her travel writing has appeared in Travel & Leisure, InStyle, Vogue, Departures, ELLE, Sunset, and more. Dobrina is an expert on all things luxury travel, art, architecture, and design, with a focus on new hotels and resorts. She has also extensively written about fashion, tech, and shopping, such as reviewing products that help you stay chic while traveling. Currently based in Alexandria, Virginia, Dobrina's career began when she moved from her native Bulgaria to New York City in 2010. After earning her master's degree in journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, she started her first job at ELLE. Notably, in 2013, she co-produced a multimedia project that earned the Society of Professional Journalists' National Mark of Excellence Award for Online In-Depth Reporting.
